This seminar is suitable for any parent needing to satisfy the court’s requirement for a three hour divorce education class. It is a Level I introductory class, especially appropriate for parents in high conflict, and those who never married. The emphasis is on beginning to teach parents important communication skills for coparenting their child or children for life.
Parents who attend this class will learn about:
- How children react to separation
- Effects of conflict on children
- Domestic violence and the need for safety
- Parallel parenting
- Special needs of infants and young children
- Appropriate parenting plan schedules for increasing age levels
- How to communicate, even in high conflict
- How to develop a parenting plan
